What is the educational mission of the kindergarten?

What is the parenting mandate?

In addition to the state educational mandate of the school system, there is an equal parental educational mandate. This is regulated by the Basic Law, which describes it as follows: Parents have the right and the duty to take on the upbringing of their children. It is not prescribed how exactly this education should look like, since everyone implements it individually.

Basically, however, the educational mandate for the parents specifies that they should promote the development of the spirit, the character and the development of the child. How do I do this if I want to transfer the parenting job on vacation?

In German law, it is possible to hand over the parenting mandate that the parents have for their children to another person for a certain period of time. This should be someone you trust, as this person will take care of the child on behalf of the parents.

This person must be of legal age and be able to take over the supervision of a minor and to lead and control this person.

If a person has been selected who is to take on the task of bringing up children and thus can attend parties with the child or young person, for example, forms must be filled out.
