INGREDIENT & EFFECT by iWhite Instant

iWhite Instant contains various ingredients to achieve the desired effect. Unlike many other bleaching products, the product does not contain the aggressive hydrogen peroxide. As a result, the teeth should not be attacked.

However, when iWhite Instant is used, a chemical process takes place to remove color pigments from the tooth. This makes the tooth surfaces more sensitive to acid and can be more prone to tooth decay. Due to the addition of silica, the toothpaste also has an abrasive effect, i.e. it "grinds" the teeth. This can also attack the enamel.

The manufacturer advertises teeth whitening of up to eight shades, as well as simple operation. The iWhite Instant Kit contains individually wrapped splints that are discarded after a single use.

Which teeth whitening is realistic?

The iWhite Instant product advertises that immediate results can be achieved after a single 20 minute application. This should make the teeth up to 8 shades lighter. The product can be used up to 5 days in a row for "even more breathtaking results".

However, if you read testimonials from different users, the successes achieved seem to be only moderately convincing. Dentists, too, particularly advise against the regular use of toothpastes with cleaning agents that sand plaque with mechanical ingredients (abrasives). This can damage the enamel.

Whitening at the dentist is carried out a maximum of twice a year. Highly dosed bleaches are used here, the effect of which can be intensified by using a UV lamp. One visit is enough for a clear whitening effect, the subsequent fluoridation protects the tooth and tooth enamel.

In order to get whiter teeth without getting, it is best to avoid discolouring foods such as tea, coffee or red wine and not to smoke. Tooth whitening products rarely keep their promises, are expensive to treat and can damage teeth and tooth enamel.

SIDE EFFECT of iWhite Instant

Like many other whitening creams, iWhite Instant contains so-called cleaning bodies, ingredients that mechanically remove plaque. In the case of iWhite Instant, it is silica that has an abrasive effect. It also contains citric acid. Although these substances remove plaque effectively, they can also attack tooth enamel.

The enamel protects the inside of the tooth crown, the dentin, and cannot be reproduced by the body. If the tooth enamel is removed by abrasion during brushing or by cleaning bodies and chemical processes through acidic foods, the darker, sensitive dentin is exposed. The teeth then appear yellower the thinner the enamel is. So, paradoxically, whitening products can lead to darker teeth. In addition, a thinner enamel layer makes the teeth more sensitive, especially to hot, cold, sour or sweet foods.

So, the loss of tooth enamel from frequent use of whitening toothpastes can lead to significant problems. It is better to prevent discoloration than artificial whitening. You should limit your coffee, tea and red wine consumption and refrain from smoking.

When should it not be used?

IWhite Instant should not be used under the following circumstances:

  • If there are intolerances to the contained ingredients.
  • Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.
  • The product is also not recommended for children under 14 years of age.
  • The splints must not be used when braces, retainers, tooth jewelry or piercings are worn.
  • IWhite Instant should also not be used with gum problems.
  • It is not advisable to use it if you have had dental or orthodontic treatments within the last two weeks.

INTERACTION with other drugs

No drug interactions are known for the use of iWhite Instant. However, it should not be used immediately before or after consuming acidic foods, as this can damage the tooth enamel.

iWhite Instant should be used a maximum of five days in a row; frequent use can increase the risk of tooth enamel loss.
