The Hindfoot consists Talus and Calcaneus.
The calcaneus lies with his Calcaneal tuberosity on the floor. To the front he articulates with the Os cubuoideum (Cuboid bone), the talus rests on top of it. This carries the in its upper part Trochlea tali (Joint roller).
The joint roller is supported by the Malleolen gifts, consisting of

The trochlea tali and the malleolar fork form this upper ankle. The talar head, on the other hand, participates in the formation of the forward lower ankleWhen viewed from the rear, the rear foot is usually bent by around 5 degrees compared to the lower leg (Valgus position).
