The actual whitening is done in one session, depending on how many teeth are to be treated. Depending on the technique, the actual bleaching process takes about 10-15 minutes per tooth. The first results are already visible after the first application. As a rule, however, the session should be repeated for 1-2 weeks in order to achieve optimal and long-lasting results.
If the dental examination and tooth cleaning are carried out directly before the bleaching, the treatment time is extended accordingly. In most cases, however, the dental examination and cleaning are carried out in a dental session one to two days beforehand.

Duration of the whitening result
How long the result of a bleaching lasts depends on various factors. On the one hand, the selected bleaching method is decisive, then the hygienic status of the teeth. Use teeth regularly after whitening toothbrush and toothpaste if cleaned adequately, the result lasts longer. The consumption habits are also decisive for how long the whiteness of the whitened teeth is retained. If the patient drinks a lot of coffee and tea, discoloration of the teeth is to be expected earlier than if he limits the consumption of these products or completely avoids them. It is also recommended to do one on a regular basis professional tooth cleaning to be carried out by the dentist, which extends the shelf life of the bleaching result considerably. In general, it can be said that, on average, the teeth have to be bleached again after 1-2 years, as the results have darkened. Refreshing bleaching is, however, gentler, faster and cheaper than primary bleaching.
